Fan Fiction Friction

There’s another part of being a fan that I just don’t partake in: the reading and the writing of fan fiction. From some places on the web I get the impression that this makes me less of a fan. I may be wrong, but it’s really rubbing me the wrong way right now. All of this “you’re supposed to do this and this to be a real fan” is just utter nonsense! I guess staying on a fan site and reading the posts daily, is not a good idea.

I could make this such an angry post, but I’ll just stop here instead or I’ll pour all my frustration from work into this, and nobody wants that.
